Everything Duneed does

One photo of a grocery receipt fills the pantry, dates it, and adds the month up. Here is each part of that, in the order you meet it.

In the app

What Duneed handles for you

Six parts, and the first one does most of the work.

  • Reading the receipt

Photograph a paper receipt or drop in a screenshot of a digital one. Duneed pulls out the line items, matches each to a category and carries over the price you paid. You see the list before anything is saved, and you can rename, reprice or delete any line.

  • Expiry dates that speak up early

Give an item a date and the pantry marks it as that date approaches — an amber badge a few days out, a red one once it has passed. One evening notification a day collects what needs eating, rather than interrupting you all afternoon.

  • Spending, without a budget app

The prices came off the receipt, so the totals need no work from you: this month, how it compares with last month, and which categories took it. On Premium the same view counts what you threw away.

  • A pantry the household shares

On Premium, invite the people you shop with. Everyone sees one shelf and one shopping list, updated as each person ticks something off.

  • Local first, sync second

The pantry, the shopping list and the history are stored on the phone and work with no signal at all. An account adds sync between devices and household sharing — it is not what makes the app run.

  • A photo that does not stick around

The receipt image is read once and deleted, on the phone and on the server. No location, no contacts, no photo library. Your data is held in Germany, and you can export or delete all of it from inside the app.

Four screens, no set-up

Real captures from the app, not mockups. Swipe or scroll to see the rest.

  • Duneed's pantry screen: eight grocery items grouped by category, two carrying amber badges that read 3 days left and 2 days left
Every line off the receipt, filed and dated.
  • Duneed's expenses screen: a September total of $30.92 above a locked waste card and a breakdown by category
What the month cost, split by category.
  • Duneed's shopping list mid-shop: three items left to buy above three already ticked off
A list you can tick one-handed.
  • A single item, Chicken Breast, showing the $7.49 you paid and an expiry date of Sep 12, 2026
The price you paid and the day it turns.
Questions

The things people ask first

How many receipts can I scan for free?

3 scans a month on the free plan. Premium raises that to 30 scans a week.

Does Duneed work without an internet connection?

Yes — the app is local-first, so your pantry, shopping list and history all work offline. Signing in adds sync across devices; it isn't required to use the app.

Is the receipt photo stored anywhere?

No. It's read once, to pull out the items and prices, and deleted immediately afterward — it's never written to storage we own.

Can I share a pantry with my household?

Yes, on Premium — everyone in the household sees the same shelf and shopping list.

What does Premium cost?

$1.99 a month, or $11.99 a year with a 7-day free trial.

Is Duneed available for Android?

Not yet — Duneed is iPhone-only today.
